My Own Love Story

I was the peasant queen, ”Queen of the Rivercade”, in a local celebration in my hometown of Sioux City, Iowa. I was of a family of lowly income as was Giselle. When she met her lover, Count Albrecht who disguised himself as a mere villager as did my prince who led me to believe he was a penniless soul as he captured my heart. Unlike Giselle, my ending varies from hers and 50 years later I am still living my fairytale dream.
