THE STORY OF GANESH and how he found his new home

In the fall of 2018, I visited a favorite friend of mine in Los Angeles. We went shopping in Seal Beach and stumbled upon Ebb Persephone, a spiritual and wellness boutique on Main Street with a stone Ganesh in the window during our visit. I had been looking for this specific statuary to compliment our new garden in Colorado. This particular deity is promised to bring prosperity, as we were just relocating full time to the Aspen Valley. At that moment, I could not believe my luck to find the perfect size Ganesh in their window. I made my way inside, and the sales associate informed me it was for display and not available for purchase. So, drat, the search was to continue. But, that wasn’t to be only the beginning of this saga of Ganesh.

The same friend was treasure hunting at the Ross for less, the discount store and there he was! Identical to the Ganesh we had seen in the shop window just a few months earlier.

She purchased it and paid more in shipping than the statue had cost, but at last, Ganesh arrived in perfect condition from his travels from California. I was full of joy; I had my metaphysical figure.

I placed the more than 65 lb stone statue in what I thought was an ideal location. The piece would be overlooking our pond on the Southside of the property. He weathered nicely through the winter, but I was astounded to find in the spring that Ganesh had literally moved from his original location an unexplainable 10 yards away. Full of questions and disbelief, I rested on the fact that he must not have agreed with my placement next to the pond.

That following winter, it happened again! The statue moved up onto the pond’s bank several feet away into the reeds. Again, I was baffled; it was a total mystery. So he clearly was not happy with his orientation on the property once again. I now decided to research “placement of Ganesh” and found that the best location is the Northeast direction.

As I read, it confirmed not to place the statue in the southern direction, yet the ideal orientation was Northeast. However, as I could see from his movement, he was magically/actually making his way to the Northeast corner of our property.

Ganesh now happily resides peacefully in his secluded section of the land, surrounded by long leafed shrubs resembling the bamboo. I can see him daily in a direct line of sight from my kitchen window rather than hidden in the pond foliage. He has stayed put and seems to have found his way to where he is the most comfortable.

Ganesh is the god of success, prosperity, and wisdom. He comes into your life to take away all negativity.  I picture him as the elephant that sweeps through the jungle removing any obstacles that would be in my way, giving me a clear path forward.

I travel with a brass pocket Ganesh, so he is there to remove any travel obstacles, and I feel things seem to smooth with much success with his presence.

I am not alone in my beliefs. Ganesh is the most widely worshiped deity in the Hindu religion.

Ganesh is my go-to guy! Placement, east, west, or Northeast.
