Encolure – French for “neck” or “neckline” – focuses on the nape of the neck, an area of a woman’s body that is at once vulnerable and strong; exposed yet powerful; tender, sensual, and exquisitely feminine. It is the bridge between the logic of the mind and emotions of the heart, a conduit of energy and life blood.

It’s where a lover might plant a first kiss, hoping for more; a friend might fling an arm in comfort or play; or a stranger might try to exploit this visible, yet vulnerable, area. While the nape of the neck is a relatively small area of the body, it is one, that to me, encompasses so many different aspects of what it means to be female.
