SELF- PORTRAYAL #01
‘Self portrayals are a kind of confession’. Peter Hunt Thompson
As I review these older self portraits of mine, they take on a new meaning as they age.
For me I witness the self disclosure of this young woman who has yet to find her consciousness. She lives in a facade of fashion and mystery, gracefully existing in that realm of undiscovered faerie magic.
I I have recently updated Self Portrait #02, to protect this vulnerable one, I currently layered her in the script from my grandmother’s correspondence to me. I feel her words create a shield, and reveal a depth to this delicate soul.
